His association with the Ministry has concluded, leading to his automatic cessation from the Board in accordance with the company’s governance protocols. The company is currently awaiting a formal notification from the Ministry of Power regarding his successor.
Leadership Transition on the Board
NHPC Limited has officially confirmed a change in its board composition. Shri Mohammad Afzal, who previously represented the Ministry of Power as a Government Nominee Director, is no longer associated with the Ministry. Consequently, his tenure as a Director on the NHPC Board has come to an end, effective immediately based on public records.
