PNC Infratech Limited Secures ₹559.53 Crore Bridge Construction Project

PNC Infratech Limited, through a 50:50 joint venture with SPS Constructions India Pvt Ltd, has been awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract by the UP State Bridge Corporation Ltd. The project involves the construction of a 4-lane major bridge over the Ganga River in Kanpur, including approach roads and protection works. The contract is valued at Rs. 559.53 crore and is scheduled for completion within 36 months.

Project Details and Scope

The contract is for the construction of a 4-lane major bridge featuring a footpath, situated at the Bhairoghat Dhobighat Jalkal Campus. The bridge will serve as a vital link connecting Trans Ganga City to Kanpur City. The scope of work encompasses the bridge structure itself, as well as necessary approach roads and protection works in District Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Contract Value and Execution

The project is being executed on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) mode. Initially, the joint venture quoted a price of Rs. 571.81 crore, which was subsequently negotiated and finalized at Rs. 559.53 crore (excluding GST). The project has a defined execution timeline of 36 months from the date of the letter of acceptance, which was received by the joint venture on May 13, 2026.

Strategic Joint Venture

This project is being undertaken by a joint venture comprising PNC Infratech Ltd and SPS Constructions India Pvt Ltd. The partnership operates on a 50:50 participation ratio. The company has confirmed that there is no conflict of interest involving the promoter or promoter group in relation to the entity awarding this contract.
