Metropolis Healthcare has announced the successful allotment of 4,200 equity shares under the company’s 2020 restrictive stock unit plan. Furthermore, the board has approved the grant of new stock benefits, including 14,236 units under the 2025 restrictive stock unit plan and 2,12,345 options under the 2025 employee stock option plan. These initiatives are designed to incentivize employees and align their interests with the long-term growth of the company.
Equity Share Allotment
Following the exercise of vested units by employees, Metropolis Healthcare has allotted 4,200 equity shares on May 13, 2026. These shares were issued at an exercise price of INR 2/- per share, resulting in a total consideration of INR 8,400/-. The new shares will rank pari-passu with the company’s existing equity shares, and 50% of these shares are subject to a one-year lock-in period, expiring on May 13, 2027.
Expanded Stock Benefit Programs
In a move to drive employee retention and performance, the company also approved new grants under its 2025 benefit schemes. Eligible employees have been granted 14,236 units under the 2025 Restrictive Stock Units Plan and 2,12,345 options under the 2025 Employees Stock Options Plan.
Vesting and Exercise Terms
The newly granted options under the 2025 plans come with a minimum vesting period of one year, which may extend up to four years based on company policy. Once vested, these options can be exercised within a maximum period of five years. The exercise price for the options granted under the 2025 Employee Stock Options Plan has been set at INR 375.62 per option, while the units under the Restrictive Stock Units Plan are issued at a face value of INR 2/- per unit.
