Rainbow Children’s Medicare Limited has inaugurated two major healthcare facilities in Bengaluru: a 60-bed spoke hospital in HRBR Layout and a new BirthRight Fertility IVF centre in Mahadevapura. These strategic additions expand the company’s network to approximately 2,435 beds and 15 IVF centres nationwide. The expansion, representing an investment of ₹52 crore, strengthens the company’s hub-and-spoke model and increases its capacity to provide specialized pediatric and reproductive care to the growing Bengaluru population.
Strategic Expansion in Bengaluru
As of May 4, 2026, Rainbow Children’s Medicare Limited has officially launched its latest healthcare facilities in Bengaluru. The expansion includes a new 60-bed spoke hospital located at the HRBR Layout, Hennur Junction, and a dedicated BirthRight Fertility centre in Mahadevapura. These new facilities are designed to complement the company’s existing Marathahalli hub, creating a more integrated network for pediatric, obstetric, and fertility services.
Investment and Growth Rationale
The total capital expenditure for these projects stands at ₹52 crore, with ₹42 crore allocated to the HRBR Spoke Hospital and ₹10 crore invested in the Mahadevapura IVF centre. These funds were sourced through internal accruals. This expansion is part of a disciplined growth strategy, aimed at capturing the rising demand for high-quality medical care within Bengaluru’s high-growth, urban micro-markets.
Strengthening the Hub-and-Spoke Model
With these additions, the company’s total bed capacity has grown to approximately 2,435 beds. The new HRBR facility is positioned near major employment hubs like Manyata Tech Park, ensuring proximity to a young, working population that requires consistent 24/7 pediatric and obstetric care. Simultaneously, the Mahadevapura IVF centre increases the company’s fertility service footprint to 15 centres, reflecting its commitment to providing specialized reproductive medicine across a broader urban demographic.
