Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone April 2026 Cargo Volumes Surge 15%

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) has reported a strong start to the new fiscal year, achieving a 15% year-on-year growth in total cargo volumes for April 2026. The company handled a total of 43.1 MMT of cargo during the month, driven primarily by robust performance in the container and dry cargo segments.

Cargo Volume Performance

In its operational update for April 2026, APSEZ confirmed that it handled 43.1 MMT of total cargo. This represents a solid 15% growth compared to the same period in the previous year. The volume expansion was broad-based, with both the container and dry cargo segments recording a 17% year-on-year increase, reflecting healthy trade activity.

Logistics Segment Update

While port operations showed strong growth, the company’s logistics division reported different results. Logistics rail volume for the month of April 2026 stood at 48,490 TEUs. This figure represents a 16% decline on a year-on-year basis, marking a point of divergence from the company’s strong port-side cargo handling performance during the month.
