The company reported a total production of 4.64 million tonnes and total sales of 3.68 million tonnes for the month. These figures demonstrate a positive trajectory compared to the same period in the previous year, highlighting the company’s steady operational performance at the start of the FY2026-27 fiscal year.

Production Highlights

During April 2026, NMDC Limited achieved a total iron ore production of 4.64 million tonnes, marking an increase from the 4.00 million tonnes recorded in April 2025. The production breakdown by sector reveals that the Chhattisgarh mines produced 3.66 million tonnes, while the Karnataka operations contributed 0.98 million tonnes to the monthly total.

Sales Performance

On the sales front, the company successfully moved 3.68 million tonnes of iron ore in April 2026, slightly higher than the 3.63 million tonnes sold during the same month last year. Segment-wise, sales from Chhattisgarh stood at 3.16 million tonnes, with Karnataka accounting for 0.52 million tonnes. These provisional results set a stable foundation for the company as it progresses through the early stages of the 2026-27 financial year.
