Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced a historic performance for April 2026, achieving its highest-ever monthly sales volume of 239,646 units. Domestic sales also reached an all-time peak of 191,122 units. This significant growth was driven by strong demand across passenger car and utility vehicle segments, alongside a robust export performance of 40,054 units, marking a substantial increase compared to the same month in the previous year.

Maruti Suzuki has started the new fiscal year on a strong note, reporting a total sales volume of 239,646 units in April 2026. This milestone represents a record high for the company in terms of monthly sales volume. The surge in demand was evident in both domestic and international markets, demonstrating the company’s sustained momentum in the automotive sector.
Domestic Market Performance
The company recorded an all-time high in domestic sales, reaching 191,122 units, which includes Passenger Vehicles (PV), Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV), and sales to other OEMs. The passenger vehicle segment remains the cornerstone of this growth, with total domestic PV sales hitting 187,704 units compared to 138,704 units in April 2025.
Segment Breakdown
- Passenger Cars: Combined sales for Mini and Compact/Mid-size models reached 96,725 units.
- Utility Vehicles: This segment showed significant traction, recording 77,892 units sold across popular models like the Brezza, Ertiga, and Fronx.
- Vans: The Eeco model continued its steady performance with 13,087 units sold.
Export Strength
In addition to domestic success, Maruti Suzuki saw a marked increase in global demand. The company exported 40,054 units in April 2026, reflecting a strong year-over-year improvement from the 27,911 units exported in April 2025. This performance highlights the company’s growing footprint and competitive edge in international markets.
