Zydus Lifesciences Amplitude SAS Completes Acquisition of Aptitude Orthopedie

Zydus Lifesciences Limited has announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Amplitude SAS, has successfully acquired 100% share capital of the French firm Aptitude Orthopedie. This strategic acquisition, finalized on April 30, 2026, aims to internalize commercial capabilities and enhance operational efficiency within the medical equipment distribution sector. The deal was executed for a total consideration of Euro 360,000.

Strategic Business Integration

The acquisition of Aptitude Orthopedie marks a significant move for Amplitude SAS to strengthen its market presence in France. By bringing the target entity’s operations in-house, Zydus Lifesciences plans to internalize commercial functions previously managed by third-party sales agents. This transition is expected to eliminate ongoing commission and business-development fees, leading to a meaningful reduction in long-term selling and distribution costs.

Financial and Operational Highlights

The transaction, valued at Euro 360,000, covers the entire share capital of the target entity, which consists of 5,000 equity shares. Aptitude Orthopedie, which specializes in the distribution of medical equipment, reported a turnover of Euro 364,000 for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025. The entity has maintained a consistent revenue profile, with historical turnover reaching Euro 380,000 in FY2024 and Euro 131,000 in FY2023.

Future Market Outlook

Incorporated in 2016, the target entity holds an exclusive commercial agency agreement for specific French departments. By integrating these operations, the company aims to streamline its supply chain and consolidate its footprint in the European medical device market. The management has confirmed that this acquisition does not involve any related parties, and all operations moving forward will be conducted at arm’s length.
