Welspun Enterprises has secured a ₹7,300 crore project for the construction of a six-lane partially elevated highway corridor from Pune to Shirur. The project, awarded by the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation, will be developed under a 29-year concession on a DBFOT (Toll) basis. This significant win boosts the company’s total outstanding order book to ₹18,755 crore, strengthening its transportation infrastructure portfolio and long-term revenue visibility.
Project Details and Scope
Welspun Enterprises has received the Letter of Award for a major infrastructure development on NH-753F. The project involves the construction of a 6-lane partially elevated highway corridor spanning from Km. 10+600 to Km. 64+000, covering a minimum design length of 53.40 km. This critical transport link is expected to significantly improve connectivity across key economic nodes such as Wagholi, Kharadi, Lonikand, Ranjangaon, and Shikrapur, while reducing travel time between Pune and Shirur.
Strategic Growth and Order Book Impact
The contract is set to be executed under a 29-year concession agreement, which includes a 4-year construction period commencing from the Appointed Date. Following this award, the company’s standalone outstanding order book has reached approximately ₹18,755 crore. The diversified portfolio now includes ₹10,813 crore from the water vertical, ₹1,791 crore from the tunnelling segment, and ₹6,152 crore from the transportation vertical.
