Subject to shareholder approval, the new term will span five consecutive years, beginning 1 August 2026 and concluding on 31 July 2031. Mr. Jhaveri will not be liable to retire by rotation during this tenure, continuing his strategic contribution to the company’s governance.

Mr. Jhaveri, who brings decades of extensive experience in the banking and financial services sector, will continue to serve as an Independent Director, further strengthening the board’s oversight and strategic direction.

Profile and Expertise

Currently, Mr. Jhaveri serves as a Senior Advisor to Premji Invest and PJT Partners. His distinguished career includes serving as the Vice Chairman – Banking, Asia Pacific for Citi and as the CEO of Citibank India from 2010 to 2019. Beyond his corporate roles, he is a noted philanthropist and serves as a Trustee for several prominent cultural and educational organizations, including Pratham Education Foundation and the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA).

The company has confirmed that Mr. Jhaveri remains fully eligible for this appointment and holds no professional or familial relationships with the other members of the board. His re-appointment is subject to the approval of shareholders, which will be sought via a special resolution.
