Strategic Expansion in Indore

On April 27, 2026, Global Health Limited announced a significant expansion of its healthcare infrastructure in Central India. The company has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement to acquire an 80-bedded cancer hospital in Indore. This newly-built facility is situated only 500 meters away from the existing 175-bedded Medanta multi-specialty hospital, allowing for seamless integration and improved accessibility for patients in the region.

Transaction Details and Operational Synergy

Under the terms of the agreement, the Asian Institute of Oncology Private Limited will transfer its Indore business undertaking to Medanta as a going concern. The total consideration for this transaction is Rs. 30 crores, which covers the transfer of business operations and the assignment of the long-term lease. This acquisition is designed to deliver immediate operational synergies, optimize capacity utilization, and significantly streamline patient flow between the two facilities.

Strengthening Specialized Care

The addition of this dedicated cancer care hospital enables Medanta to introduce a comprehensive oncology program, filling a critical gap in its existing service offerings in the city. Mr. Pankaj Sahni, Group CEO of Medanta, noted that this facility serves as an extension of their current campus and reinforces the company’s position as a premier provider of high-quality, specialized healthcare. The move aligns with Medanta’s broader strategy to expand its footprint and medical capabilities across its regional networks.
