Chalet Hotels Limited has announced its foray into Udaipur, Rajasthan, with the acquisition of Seasons Hotels Private Limited for a total consideration of ₹171 crore. The deal includes the 144-room Inder Residency Resort & Spa. The company plans to transform this property into an upper-upscale lifestyle destination, reinforcing its expansion strategy in high-growth leisure markets. The resort is currently non-operative as the company prepares for renovation and repositioning.
Expanding into High-Growth Leisure Markets
Chalet Hotels Limited has officially marked its entry into the Rajasthan hospitality sector. On April 24, 2026, the board approved the acquisition of Seasons Hotels Private Limited, the owner of the Inder Residency Resort & Spa in Udaipur. This strategic investment is valued at ₹171 crore and is fully aligned with the company’s broader objective to diversify its portfolio across key geographic regions in India.
Property Revitalization Plans
The acquired resort spans approximately 8.2 acres and features 144 rooms, expansive lawns, and significant banqueting space. To maintain high service standards, Chalet Hotels intends to upgrade the property into an upper-upscale or premium lifestyle destination. During this extensive refurbishment and repositioning phase, the property will remain non-operative. Furthermore, the company is evaluating potential expansion opportunities at the site to increase room capacity.
Strategic Outlook
According to Mr. Shwetank Singh, Managing Director and CEO, the acquisition addresses the company’s long-standing interest in the Udaipur market. By focusing on asset enhancement and premium positioning, Chalet Hotels aims to generate long-term value for its stakeholders. This move strengthens the company’s presence in the premium hospitality space, where it already operates 11 hotels and resorts across India with a total of 3,389 keys.
