Azad Engineering has officially inaugurated a new 7,600 sq. m. next-generation lean manufacturing facility in Tunikibollaram, Hyderabad. Built specifically to support global energy technology leader Baker Hughes, the facility marks a major milestone in their eight-year partnership. This expansion enhances Azad’s production capabilities for critical rotating airfoils, employing approximately 230 skilled professionals to meet high-volume, high-precision demands for the global energy and oil and gas sectors.
Expanding Strategic Manufacturing Capabilities
Azad Engineering has strengthened its long-term collaboration with Baker Hughes by opening a state-of-the-art facility dedicated exclusively to their Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) programs. This project represents the company’s fourth dedicated facility inauguration, reflecting an aggressive expansion strategy to meet rising global demand. The 7,600 sq. m. site is designed to deliver productivity excellence through advanced quality systems and vertical integration.
A Milestone in Precision Engineering
The facility serves as a testament to the rigorous qualification path that began in 2018. Azad Engineering now produces critical rotating airfoils for gas and steam turbines, achieving micron-level precision. By housing specialized in-house processes and leveraging a robust sub-tier ecosystem, the company ensures full compliance with the uncompromising technical benchmarks required by global OEMs.
Driving Future Growth
With approximately 230 skilled professionals now on board, this facility positions the company to scale its operations while maintaining high standards of quality. The initiative is a cornerstone of the company’s role in the Baker Hughes Oilfield Services and Equipment program. This expansion not only reinforces the ‘Make in India’ initiative but also underscores Azad’s evolution from a specialized supplier into a key strategic partner within the global energy supply chain.
