ACME Solar Holdings Reaches Milestone of 2 GWh BESS Capacity in Rajasthan

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has achieved a significant milestone by cumulatively operationalizing over 2 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity in Rajasthan. The company’s operational capacity now stands at 591.18 MW / 2031.24 MWh across its subsidiaries. This strategic development is part of the company’s broader objective to scale its storage infrastructure, with ambitious plans to reach 10 GWh of BESS capacity by 2027.

Strategic Expansion in Energy Storage

On April 22, 2026, ACME Solar announced it has successfully operationalized over 2 GWh of BESS capacity within Rajasthan. This achievement establishes the company as a frontrunner among Indian renewable energy players in large-scale energy storage deployment. These projects are engineered to bolster grid reliability by efficiently managing power supply, specifically by charging batteries during off-peak hours and discharging to meet high-demand periods.

Portfolio and Future Outlook

ACME Solar manages a diverse and integrated renewable portfolio totaling 8,071 MW, encompassing solar, wind, storage, FDRE, and hybrid energy solutions. Currently, the company maintains an operational contracted capacity of 2,990 MW alongside its storage assets. Looking ahead, the firm has an aggressive growth pipeline, with 5,081 MW of under-construction contracted capacity, which includes ~15 GWh of BESS installations. By integrating its in-house EPC and O&M divisions, ACME Solar continues to deliver end-to-end development, ensuring operational efficiency and high-performance standards across its growing fleet of renewable assets.
