CESC Limited has formally signed Power Purchase Agreements to procure 600 MW of electricity from grid-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects. These long-term agreements, spanning 25 years, involve four different energy providers. Strategic Renewable Energy Expansion

On April 16, 2026, CESC Limited confirmed the execution of power procurement contracts for a total capacity of 600 MW. These projects focus on wind-solar hybrid energy, which leverages complementary generation profiles to provide more consistent power supply. The agreements are set for a duration of 25 years, ensuring long-term energy security for the company’s operations.

Details of Power Procurement

The 600 MW capacity is distributed among four key energy entities, with procurement secured at competitive tariff rates:

  • Purvah Green Power Private Limited (a subsidiary of the company): 300 MW at Rs. 3.75 / kWh.
  • Vismaya Renewables India Project Private Limited: 100 MW at Rs. 3.74 / kWh.
  • Hexa Climate Solutions Private Limited: 100 MW at Rs. 3.75 / kWh.
  • Sprng Energy Private Limited: 100 MW at Rs. 3.75 / kWh.
