The company addressed speculative news items, providing clarity on its current project bidding status and verifying that no new order disclosures have been necessitated as of April 16, 2026.

Response to Media Speculation

Following recent reports circulating in the media, VA Tech Wabag has provided an official update regarding its project status in the Middle East. The company specifically addressed a news item claiming it had emerged as the lowest bidder for a sewage treatment plant (STP) contract worth over INR 600 crore in Saudi Arabia. The company has clarified that it is not aware of any such project worth this valuation in the region where it has been declared the lowest bidder.

Status of Kuwait Desalination Project

Regarding a report concerning a project in Kuwait valued at approximately INR 3,400 crore, the company confirmed that a joint venture between VA Tech Wabag and HEISCO submitted the lowest bid for a desalination plant. This bid, valued at KD 114,280,000, was officially notified on the customer’s portal on August 06, 2025. The company explicitly stated that it is still awaiting the formal Letter of Award (LOA) for this project.

Operational Outlook

VA Tech Wabag reiterated that as there has been no formal finalization or “bagging” of new orders, no regulatory disclosures were required prior to this clarification.
