Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited Production Milestone for Colour Coated Sheets Facility

Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited has successfully commissioned Phase II of its Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) facility for Colour Coated Sheets in Jamuria. With this expansion, the company has added 0.15 MTPA of incremental capacity, bringing its total installed capacity for this segment to 0.40 MTPA. This strategic development is set to bolster the company’s production capabilities and strengthen its competitive position in the value-added steel market.

Strategic Capacity Expansion

Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited, through its subsidiary Shyam Sel and Power Limited (SSPL), has reached a key operational milestone. The company has officially commissioned the Phase II unit of its Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) facility dedicated to Colour Coated Sheets. Commercial production at the facility commenced on April 16, 2026, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to its phased capacity expansion strategy.

Impact on Production Capabilities

The addition of the new facility contributes an incremental 0.15 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) to the company’s output. When combined with the existing Phase I capacity of 0.25 MTPA, the total installed capacity for Colour Coated Sheets now reaches 0.40 MTPA. This scaling of operations is designed to enhance the company’s manufacturing footprint and significantly improve its product offerings within the value-added steel segment, ensuring greater market reach and competitiveness.
