Hexaware Technologies is proud to announce the return of the Hexaware Dream Runners Half Marathon, scheduled for July 19, 2026. As the title sponsor for the seventh consecutive year, Hexaware continues to promote fitness and community wellness in Chennai. Last year’s event saw nearly 7,000 participants and successfully raised over INR 45,00,000 to support social welfare initiatives across the city.
Promoting Health and Community Impact
The Hexaware Dream Runners Half Marathon (DRHM) serves as a platform to make fitness accessible to the public. Through 14 local chapters in Chennai, the event offers structured training programs led by health experts, allowing participants to train within their own neighborhoods. Runners can choose from two race categories, 21.1K and 10K, ensuring the event remains inclusive for participants of all experience levels.
Giving Back to Chennai
Beyond promoting a healthy lifestyle, the marathon remains committed to social welfare. The proceeds from the 2026 event will benefit three prominent local NGOs: the FREEDOM Trust for the distribution of prosthetic limbs, the International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care (PCVC) to support survivors of domestic violence, and Vijay Human Services, which assists individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Leadership Perspective
Nidhi Alexander, Chief Marketing Officer at Hexaware, highlighted the deep-rooted connection the run has built with the city, noting, “Over the past seven years, this run has become something Chennai truly owns.” Rekha Sudarsan, a founding member of Dream Runners, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the significant impact the event creates each year through collective community participation.
