CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited Axiro Semiconductor Partners with EdgeCortix to Boost AI Innovation

Axiro Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, has announced a strategic investment in Japan-based fabless semiconductor firm EdgeCortix. This partnership aims to accelerate the development of next-generation, energy-efficient AI platforms. By combining Axiro’s expertise in wireless connectivity and RF design with EdgeCortix’s advanced AI inference technology, the collaboration seeks to expand capabilities across telecom, defense, robotics, and industrial systems on a global scale.

Strategic Investment in AI Infrastructure

On April 15, 2026, EdgeCortix confirmed a new investment round featuring Axiro Semiconductor and the Japan-based venture capital firm MPower Partners. This move is designed to strengthen EdgeCortix’s leadership in the AI inference market, particularly for generative and agentic AI. A primary focus of this investment is the development of the SAKURA-X chiplet-based platform, which emphasizes high performance with low power consumption.

Synergy in Semiconductor Technology

The collaboration leverages the unique strengths of both companies. Axiro Semiconductor brings specialized expertise in RF, mmWave, and advanced connectivity IC design, which is critical for next-generation wireless systems. This complements EdgeCortix’s proprietary Dynamic Neural Accelerator® architecture and MERA software stack. Together, these technologies are expected to enhance semiconductor solutions across critical sectors, including satellite communications, defense, and smart industrial infrastructure.

Future Growth and Market Expansion

Dr. Naveen Yanduru, CEO of Axiro, noted that the investment aligns with the company’s broader mission to expand its footprint in telecom and emerging AI-driven application areas. Simultaneously, MPower Partners has joined the initiative, citing their focus on ‘Japan Dynamism’ and sustainable, high-growth deep-tech innovation. The partnership is set to accelerate market expansion, particularly within Japan and other key global regions, as both firms integrate their resources to deliver scalable, power-efficient AI hardware and software solutions.
