Hindustan Zinc Limited has been declared the ‘Successful Bidder’ for the Jhandawali – Satipura Amalgamated Potash and Halite Block in Rajasthan. The company secured the rights following a competitive e-auction process conducted by the Ministry of Mines. With a total area of 1,841.22 hectares, this site is currently at the G3 level of exploration, marking a significant strategic move for the company in the critical and strategic minerals sector.

Strategic Expansion into Critical Minerals

Hindustan Zinc has successfully expanded its footprint by securing the Jhandawali – Satipura Amalgamated Potash and Halite Block. The company emerged as the successful bidder with a final price offer of 03.05%. This development follows the government’s fifth tranche of critical and strategic mineral auctions, aimed at bolstering India’s domestic mineral supply chain.

Project Details and Site Specifications

The newly acquired block covers an extensive area of 1,841.22 hectares situated in the state of Rajasthan. The site is presently evaluated at the G3 level of exploration, indicating a promising stage for potential development. Following this notification, which was received by the company on April 12, 2026, a formal composite license deed will be executed to finalize the grant.
