Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has reported strong operational performance for FY26, marked by a 35% year-on-year increase in total operational capacity to 19.3 GW. The company successfully added 5.1 GW of greenfield capacity during the year. Furthermore, energy sales grew by 34% to 37,567 million units, underpinned by the company’s commitment to delivering renewable energy at scale, particularly through the large-scale Khavda renewable energy project.
Significant Capacity Expansion
Adani Green Energy Limited has demonstrated robust growth throughout FY26, achieving a total operational capacity of 19.3 GW. This represents a 35% increase compared to the previous fiscal year. The company’s expansion strategy saw the addition of 5.1 GW of greenfield capacity, which is 1.5 times higher than the capacity added in FY25. A highlight of this growth is the operationalization of 4,613 MW at the Khavda, Gujarat site.
Strong Operational and Sales Performance
The company recorded a 34% year-on-year growth in total energy sales, reaching 37,567 million units in FY26. Operational efficiency remained a key focus, with strong capacity utilization factors (CUF) across its portfolio: 24.0% for solar, 26.6% for wind, and 35.2% for hybrid assets. These figures were supported by high plant availability rates exceeding 95% across all asset classes.
Advancing Renewable Infrastructure
Strategic advancements in storage and technology continue to drive the company’s performance. In FY26, AGEL successfully operationalized 1,376 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity in Khavda. The company’s focus on AI-enabled digital transformation through its Energy Network Operation Centre (ENOC) has been instrumental in maintaining high operational uptime and performance standards, earning the company multiple industry recognitions for operational excellence during the year.
