GAIL (India) Limited has entered into a long-term charter party agreement with Alpha Gas for the 174,000 cubic meter LNG carrier, Energy Fidelity. This strategic move aligns with India’s ‘Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047’, aimed at bolstering the nation’s energy supply chain and maritime infrastructure. The agreement was executed between GAIL and Pantheon Maritime Services, an affiliate of the Greek shipping major, further expanding GAIL’s extensive global LNG logistics capabilities.
Strategic Fleet Expansion
As part of its ongoing logistics integration strategy, GAIL (India) Limited has solidified a long-term charter arrangement for the Energy Fidelity. This vessel features a substantial capacity of 174,000 cubic meters and represents a significant addition to the company’s efforts to ensure consistent, long-term supply security for India’s domestic natural gas demand.
Technological and Environmental Advancements
The Energy Fidelity is engineered with cutting-edge maritime technology to enhance performance and environmental sustainability. The carrier is equipped with a state-of-the-art two-stroke propulsion system, integrated with advanced air lubrication technology and high-efficiency shaft generators.
