Punjab National Bank Announces Key Senior Management Appointments

Punjab National Bank has announced a series of strategic leadership changes within its senior management team, effective April 4, 2026. The reshuffle involves the transition of several high-ranking officials into new key roles, including positions in Data Privacy, Banking Operations, and Zonal management. These appointments are part of the bank’s ongoing commitment to optimizing its organizational structure and enhancing institutional efficiency across its head office and regional zonal branches.

Strategic Leadership Realignment

As part of its organizational development, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has updated the assignments of four key senior managers. These changes are designed to streamline operations and leverage the specialized expertise of the bank’s leadership team. The new appointments reflect a focus on data governance, digital operations, and strengthened zonal oversight.

Head Office Appointments

Two primary leadership changes have been implemented at the bank’s Head Office:

  • Shri Sanjay Gupta, formerly the Chief General Manager of Operations (ADC & Recon and Data Privacy & Management), has been appointed as the Chief General Manager of the Data Privacy & Management Division. He brings over 34 years of banking experience and holds a certification in Cyber Crime & Fraud Management.
  • Shri Rajesh Prasad has transitioned to the role of Chief General Manager of the Operation Division, overseeing the General Banking Division, Customer Care Centre, and ADC & Recon. With over 23 years of experience, he holds an M.Tech and a PhD in Management.

Regional Zonal Leadership Updates

The bank has also strengthened its regional operations with the following appointments:

  • Shri P Mahendar moves into the role of General Manager (OSD) at the Chennai Zonal Office. He brings extensive experience of over 36 years to this regional leadership position.
  • Shri Priyankar Pandey has been appointed as General Manager at the Jaipur Zonal Office. With over 32 years of experience, he is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), reinforcing the bank’s risk-focused approach in the Rajasthan region.
