Indian Oil Corporation Operational Performance Highlights for Fiscal Year 2025-26

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has announced its provisional operational performance highlights for the 2025-26 fiscal year, marking a period of record-breaking achievements across its key business segments. The company reported its highest-ever crude throughput and consolidated sales volume, alongside significant growth in its lubes, petrochemical, and gas operations. These milestones underscore IOC’s strengthened market position and operational efficiency as it continues to expand its infrastructure footprint across India’s national highways.

Record-Breaking Operational Milestones

During the fiscal year 2025-26, Indian Oil Corporation achieved several historic highs in its core refining and distribution activities. The company reported an all-time high crude throughput of 75.4 MMT, maintaining a robust operational reliability of 99.5%. Furthermore, the company’s pipeline network reached a record throughput of 105.3 MMT, facilitating efficient energy distribution across the country.

Sales and Market Expansion

The company demonstrated strong commercial momentum, achieving its highest-ever consolidated sales volume of 104.4 MMT of petroleum products. This represents a healthy growth of approximately 4% compared to the previous year’s 100.3 MMT. A key driver of this success was the aggressive expansion of the company’s retail network, with the commissioning of 909 new retail outlets. This expansion has significantly boosted Indian Oil’s market share across 9 out of the top 10 National Highways in India.

Growth in Specialty Segments

Beyond traditional petroleum sales, the company saw substantial growth in its diversified business portfolios:

  • Lubes Business: Achieved record sales of 855 TMT, representing a 15% growth rate that notably outperformed the broader industry growth of 4%.
  • Petrochemicals: Reached a new peak with sales of 3.22 MMT and a total production output of 3.4 MMT.
  • Gas Business: Recorded steady demand with RLNG sales reaching approximately 5.60 MMT, excluding internal consumption.

These figures remain provisional, with comprehensive financial results for 2025-26 expected to be released following formal approval by the Board of Directors.
