Eicher Motors’ Royal Enfield division has achieved its highest-ever annual sales, surpassing 1.2 million units in the financial year ending March 31, 2026. Marking the second consecutive year of crossing the one-million milestone, the company reported 23% annual growth with total sales reaching 12,38,659 units. This record performance was driven by robust domestic demand and a diverse motorcycle portfolio, alongside significant capacity expansion plans and global brand initiatives.
Record-Breaking Financial Performance
Royal Enfield closed the financial year 2026 on a high note, with total sales reaching 12,38,659 units, a strong 23% increase over the previous year. Domestic sales served as the primary growth engine, climbing to 11,07,343 units, while exports remained steady at 1,31,316 units. March 2026 alone saw 1,12,334 units sold, representing an 11% growth compared to the same month in the prior year.
Strategic Growth and Infrastructure
To sustain this growth trajectory, the company has announced a major brownfield manufacturing expansion at its Cheyyar facility in Tamil Nadu. With an estimated outlay of ₹958 crores, this project is designed to increase the annual production capacity from 14.6 lakh units to 20 lakh units. This investment highlights the company’s commitment to supporting both domestic demand and its expanding international footprint across more than 80 countries.
Celebrating 125 Years of Motorcycling
The company successfully commemorated its 125th anniversary with a series of product launches and brand initiatives. Key highlights include the introduction of the Classic 650 125th Anniversary Special Edition, the Bullet 650, and the unveiling of the Flying Flea electric mobility brand. Furthermore, Royal Enfield’s market leadership was reinforced by securing the #1 position in the J.D. Power 2025 Initial Quality study and top rankings in dealer satisfaction surveys, reflecting a strong focus on quality and customer engagement.
