Hyundai Motor India Achieves Record-Breaking Quarterly Sales in Q4 FY2025-26

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has reported its highest-ever quarterly domestic sales of 1,66,578 units in Q4 FY2025-26, marking an 8.5% year-on-year growth. The company also registered its best-ever domestic sales for the month of March, with 55,064 units sold. Total quarterly sales across domestic and export markets reached 2,08,275 units, reflecting robust momentum heading into the new fiscal year.

Record-Breaking Financial Quarter

Hyundai Motor India Limited has concluded the January to March 2026 period with impressive growth across all segments. The company achieved total quarterly sales of 2,08,275 units, representing an 8.7% year-on-year (YoY) increase. This record performance was largely driven by a strong domestic market, where the company recorded its highest-ever quarterly domestic sales tally of 1,66,578 units.

Export and Monthly Performance

In addition to domestic success, export operations contributed significantly to the quarterly figures, with 41,697 units exported, reflecting a 9.4% YoY growth. For the single month of March 2026, the company saw total sales of 69,004 units. The domestic portion of these monthly sales reached 55,064 units, which stands as the highest-ever domestic volume for any March month since the company’s inception, bolstered by a 6.3% YoY growth.

Outlook for the New Fiscal Year

Commenting on the sales momentum, Mr. Tarun Garg, MD & CEO of HMIL, expressed confidence in the company’s trajectory. The positive results are attributed to sustained consumer demand and the popularity of key product interventions, including the upgraded Hyundai VERNA and EXTER models. While acknowledging potential global geopolitical uncertainties, the company remains well-prepared for a strong FY2026–27, focusing on delivering innovative, connected products and maintaining a premium customer experience.
