Tejas Networks Strategic MoU Signed with IIT Gandhinagar for Telecom Innovation

Tejas Networks has announced a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar. This partnership aims to accelerate research, innovation, and skill development in next-generation telecom technologies. The collaboration will establish a dedicated Center of Excellence (CoE) at the institute to foster deployment-oriented learning and advanced research, further aligning with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision for a self-reliant domestic telecom sector.

Advancing Telecom Research and Innovation

On April 01, 2026, Tejas Networks officially entered into a formal partnership with IIT Gandhinagar to catalyze advancements in the telecommunications landscape. By leveraging Tejas Networks’ extensive industry experience as an IPR and R&D-driven company alongside the academic excellence of IIT Gandhinagar, the collaboration seeks to develop cutting-edge wireline and wireless solutions that meet global standards.

Establishing a Center of Excellence

A core component of this MoU is the establishment of a specialized Center of Excellence (CoE) at the IIT Gandhinagar campus. This facility is designed to serve as a hub for high-quality training and innovation. The initiative focuses on bridging the gap between academic research and industry deployment, ensuring that the next generation of telecom professionals is well-equipped with the practical skills required for the modern digital infrastructure.

Alignment with National Priorities

The collaboration is strategically aligned with the Indian government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which prioritizes domestic innovation and the development of local technological capabilities. By fostering a thriving telecom ecosystem in Gujarat, both organizations aim to drive indigenous research that addresses both national and global telecommunications challenges, solidifying India’s position as a hub for high-performance networking technology.
