Uno Minda Limited Key Senior Management Changes and Renewable Energy Investment Approved

Uno Minda Ltd. approved significant internal restructuring among its Senior Management Personnel, effective April 01, 2026, including the elevation of Mr. Vishal Kaul to CEO – Aftermarket Domain. Additionally, the Board sanctioned an investment of up to INR 750.20 lacs for acquiring equity in Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) focused on sourcing power through wind and solar energy for its subsidiaries.

Senior Management Personnel Restructuring

The Board of Directors of Uno Minda Ltd. approved several key changes within the senior management team, all effective from April 01, 2026. These movements aim to align leadership with strategic growth areas:

Changes Detailed:

  • Mr. Rakesh Kher, formerly CEO- After Market Domain, will transition to the role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) & Advisor- Aftermarket Domain. Mr. Kher possesses over 40 years of diverse experience across strategy and manufacturing.
  • Mr. Vishal Kaul has been elevated from Business Head- Aftermarket Domain to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Aftermarket Domain. Mr. Kaul brings over 25 years of experience in automotive aftermarket and consumer electronics leadership.
  • Mr. Vishnu Johri, previously Dy. CEO- LAS Domain, will now assume the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer (COO)- 4W lighting and Asean. Mr. Johri has over 30 years of experience primarily in the automotive and manufacturing sectors.

Investment in Renewable Energy SPVs

The Board granted approval for the Company and its subsidiaries, Uno Mindarika Pvt. Ltd. and Uno Minda Kyoraku Ltd., to invest an aggregate amount of up to INR 750.20 lacs across one or more tranches.

This capital is designated for acquiring equity shares in designated Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) established to source power through wind and solar energy for the group’s operations.

SPV Investment Details:

The total commitment of INR 750.20 lacs is allocated across four SPVs:

The purpose of this acquisition is to avail Open Access renewable Power (Solar & Wind), thereby increasing the share of power consumption through renewable energy for units in Haryana and Tamil Nadu. The investment is projected to be completed by Q2 2026-27.

SPV Turnover Highlights (FY 2024-25):

Of the SPVs involved, RC Green Powers Private Ltd. reported a turnover of INR 565.25 lacs for FY 2024-25, while the other three SPVs reported Nil turnover for the same period.
