NTPC Green Energy Limited Declares Commercial Operation for 105 MW Solar Capacity in Khavda-II Project

NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commercial operation of the fifth part capacity, totaling 105 MW, of the Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat. This unit became operational on March 29, 2026. NTPC Green Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has officially declared the commercial operation of a significant portion of its renewable energy portfolio. The announcement, dated March 28, 2026, confirms that the fifth part capacity of 105 MW has commenced operations.

Khavda-II Project Details

The newly operational capacity is part of the large 1200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV Project located in Gujarat. The commercial operation date (COD) for this 105 MW unit is effective from 00:00 hrs on March 29, 2026.

This successful integration of new capacity directly impacts the overall installed capacity metrics for the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group. Prior to this declaration, the group’s commercial capacity stood at 9,802.68 MW.
