NTPC Green Energy Limited Declares Commercial Operation for 75 MW Solar Capacity at Bhadla Project

NTPC Green Energy Limited announced that the final 75 MW capacity of its 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project in Rajasthan has achieved Commercial Operation effective March 25, 2026. This addition brings the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group to 9,802.68 MW. The disclosure was made on March 28, 2026, following certification from RREC.

Final Capacity Milestone Achieved

NTPC Green Energy Limited is pleased to inform stakeholders regarding the commissioning of a significant solar power asset. Based on the certificate received from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RREC) dated 28th March, 2026, the last part capacity of 75 MW for the Bhadla Solar PV Project has been successfully declared on Commercial Operation.

Project Details and Effective Date

This 75 MW capacity constitutes the final segment of the larger 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project located in Phalodi, Rajasthan. This project is held by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited. The declaration of commercial operation for this final phase is effective from 25.03.2026.

Impact on Group Capacity

With the inclusion of this newly commissioned capacity, the total installed capacity for the entire NTPC Green Energy Limited Group experiences a substantial uplift. Prior to this declaration, the commercial capacity stood at 9727.68 MW. The current total installed capacity of the Group now stands increased to 9,802.68 MW, marking a major step toward the company’s renewable energy targets.
