Update on KIADB Land Litigation
Embassy East Business Park Limited (EEBPL), a subsidiary of Embassy Developments Limited, has taken legal recourse against an order issued by the Chief Executive Officer of the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB). This order pertains to approximately 78 acres of land located in the Kadugodi Industrial Area, Bengaluru Urban District.
In order to safeguard the interests of the company and its public shareholders, EEBPL filed a writ petition with the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka challenging the validity of the KIADB Order.
Court Proceedings and Adjournment
The matter was heard by the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka on March 26, 2026. During the proceedings, the counsel for KIADB requested time to respond. Following submissions by EEBPL’s counsel, KIADB assured the court that no further steps pursuant to the impugned KIADB Order would be taken by KIADB or any concerned authorities.
As a result of this assurance, the matter has been formally adjourned to the next hearing date, which is set for April 8, 2026. The formal order from the High Court is still awaited, but this update is being disclosed in line with the company’s commitment to timely governance.
