Zydus: Partners with Pinkathon to Boost Breast Cancer Awareness Nationwide

Zydus Lifesciences and Pinkathon, India’s largest women’s run, have partnered to launch a nationwide breast cancer awareness campaign. The 10th Mumbai edition of Pinkathon, scheduled for December 21, 2025, at MMRDA Grounds, BKC, marks the beginning of this collaboration. The 2025-26 Zydus Pinkathon will span six cities, aiming to empower women and promote early detection through self-examination.

National Awareness Campaign Launched

Zydus Lifesciences Ltd. has announced its collaboration with Pinkathon to promote breast cancer awareness across India. The 10th edition of the Mumbai Pinkathon is scheduled for December 21, 2025, at MMRDA Grounds, BKC. This run is part of a larger campaign that will extend across six cities during 2025-26.

Key Figures Behind the Initiative

The event was unveiled by Dr. Sharvil Patel, Managing Director of Zydus Lifesciences Ltd., Meha Patel, Vice-Chairperson of Zydus Foundation, and Milind Soman, Founder of Pinkathon. All expressed their commitment to encouraging women to prioritize their health.

The Easiest Exam Campaign

Zydus is promoting the ‘Easiest Exam’ campaign, encouraging women to perform a simple 3-minute self-examination each month. The goal is to empower women with knowledge and inspire collective action against breast cancer. Early detection remains vital, and this initiative emphasizes its importance.

Pinkathon’s Mission

Milind Soman stated that Pinkathon’s mission is to encourage women to take charge of their health and build a supportive community. He believes that with Zydus as the Title Partner, they can reach more women and drive meaningful action for women’s health across India.

Campaign Expansion and Reach

The Zydus Pinkathon, beginning in Mumbai, will travel to Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Chennai, aiming to engage over 30,000 women nationwide.

Focus on Early Detection

With over 2 lakh women diagnosed with breast cancer in India annually, and one woman dying every 8 minutes due to late-stage diagnosis, Zydus emphasizes the treatability of early-detected cancer. The Easiest Exam campaign promotes a simple 3-minute self-breast exam.

Second Edition of Easiest Exam

The second edition of the Easiest Exam campaign is scheduled to launch in October, recognized globally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign will focus on how a short exam can change lives, utilizing awareness campaigns, podcasts, and on-ground events to engage with breast cancer warriors and dispel myths. The initiative will showcase stories of strength and resilience.
