NTPC Green Energy Limited Inks MoU with Nxtra Data Limited for RE Projects Development

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nxtra Data Limited on March 24, 2026. The agreement focuses on exploring mutual business opportunities for developing Renewable Energy Projects. Specifically, the partnership aims to supply RE RTC power to Nxtra Datacenters for their captive consumption across India, marking a significant step in green energy adoption for data infrastructure.

NTPC Green Energy Partners with Nxtra Data

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), which operates as a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nxtra Data Limited on March 24, 2026. The signing ceremony took place at NTPC Bhawan, New Delhi.

The agreement was formally signed by Sh. Sarit Maheshwari, CEO of NGEL & NTPC REL, and Sh. Ashish Arora, CEO of Nxtra.

Focus on Renewable Energy Supply

The primary objective of this newly signed MoU is to explore strategic business opportunities centered on the development of Renewable Energy Projects. The collaboration specifically targets the supply of RE RTC power (Round-The-Clock power) to Nxtra Datacenters.

This power supply arrangement is intended to cater to Nxtra’s captive consumption requirements on a PAN India basis, aligning both entities with national renewable energy goals.
