Key Appointments and Transfers
Appointments Effective April 1, 2026
Mr. B S Suresh Babu has been newly designated as Head-Service. Mr. Babu currently serves as Executive Vice President and brings over 26 years of extensive Pan-India Field Service experience with MSIL, including a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the Madras Institute of Technology.
Mr. Ram Suresh Akella has been transferred from his previous position to the role of Head – Part & Accessories. Mr. Akella, an Executive Officer with over 33 years at MSIL, holds both an Engineering degree and an MBA from the University of Delhi.
Cessations and Role Changes
Mr. Manoj Gautam has ceased to be the Head-Information Technology due to superannuation, effective April 1, 2026. Following his departure, Dr. Tapan Sahoo, currently Head – Digital Enterprise (DE) and Information & Cyber Security, will additionally oversee the Information Technology function.
Mr. SD Chhabra is being transferred from his designation as Head – Part & Accessories to the Production function, and he will no longer be part of the SMP, effective the same date.
All appointments are for Existing Full Time Employment terms, and there are no applicable disclosures regarding relationships between directors for the individuals involved in these transitions.
