United Breweries Limited (UBL) announced today, March 18, 2026, that it has secured a critical regulatory approval for its upcoming manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh. The Company has received the Environmental Clearance (EC) dated March 17, 2026, necessary for the development of the proposed Greenfield Brewery.
Project Details and Capacity
This crucial clearance was issued by the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) of Uttar Pradesh. The facility is slated to be located at Plot No. 3, Industrial Manufacturing & Logistics Cluster, Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. Once operational, this new brewery is designed to have a significant annual capacity of 1.3 million hectolitres. This marks a major step forward from prior intimations filed on February 13, 2025, and November 21, 2025.
