Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA) has successfully recommenced operations at its newly acquired Ferro Chrome Plant located in Kalinganagar, Jajpur District, Odisha. The restart began on March 11, 2026, with the switching on of two furnaces. The company plans to bring the remaining two furnaces online shortly, with further updates to follow. This marks a significant step in utilizing the acquired assets as previously disclosed on February 27, 2026.

Operational Update on New Acquisition

The company announced the successful recommencement of production activities at its recently acquired Ferro Chrome Plant situated in Kalinganagar, Jajpur District, Odisha.

Furnace Restart Milestone

The restart process commenced on 11th March 2026 with the successful commissioning (switching on) of the first two furnaces at the facility. This immediate resumption of production demonstrates the readiness of the acquired assets for immediate contribution to the company’s output capacity.

Future Capacity Expansion

The management confirmed that the plans for the remaining two furnaces at the Kalinganagar plant are scheduled for implementation shortly.
