Tata Consultancy Services Launches Gemini Experience Center in US to Accelerate AI-Powered Manufacturing

TCS launched its seventh global Gemini Experience Center (GEC) in Troy, Michigan, focusing on Physical AI solutions for manufacturing. Established in partnership with Google Cloud, the center integrates Google’s Gemini models with TCS’ industrial expertise. By the end of 2026, TCS plans to have 13 GECs worldwide. The center aims to move enterprises from isolated AI pilots to scalable, production-ready transformation programs utilizing ‘Physical AI Blueprint’ technology.

TCS Expands Global AI Footprint with New US Center

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the launch of its seventh Gemini Experience Center (GEC) globally, situated at its Innovation Hub in Troy, Michigan. This specialized center, created in collaboration with Google Cloud, is dedicated to developing cutting-edge Physical AI solutions tailored specifically for the manufacturing sector.

This launch marks a significant milestone in TCS’ global expansion strategy. The company projects that by the end of 2026, it will operate a total of 13 GECs worldwide, with six additional centers planned to open during the current year. The primary goal of these centers is to transition enterprises from limited, isolated AI pilots to robust, scalable, and production-ready transformation initiatives.

Focus on Physical AI and Operational Intelligence

The Physical AI GEC in Troy will serve as an environment for global manufacturers to test and scale use cases related to safety, quality, and operational efficiency driven by intelligence at the core. The center showcases the TCS Physical AI Blueprint, an end-to-end framework integrating AI-powered robotics, advanced sensing, edge intelligence, and secure cloud orchestration.

Key use cases demonstrated include:

  • Autonomous patrolling and surveillance.
  • Environmental anomaly detection.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance monitoring.
  • Intelligent quality inspection.
  • Predictive equipment health monitoring.

Executive Commentary on the Partnership

Anupam Singhal, President – Manufacturing, TCS, emphasized that Physical AI moves intelligence to the operational edge, enhancing visibility and decision-making in challenging industrial environments. He stated that the technology is designed with a ‘human-in-the-loop approach‘ to strengthen workforce safety and resilience.

Saurabh Tiwary, VP and General Manager, Cloud AI, Google Cloud, highlighted that the partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of agentic AI where it provides the highest value in industrial operations, enabling manufacturers to build more autonomous and resilient enterprises using Google Cloud technology.

Innovation Network Expansion

The Troy center reinforces TCS’ innovation network, which currently includes 6 GECs established in locations such as Bangalore, New York, Chennai, Riyadh, Singapore, and Sao Paulo. Furthermore, TCS recently enhanced its relationship with Google Cloud to provide customers with greater access to Gemini Enterprise and enable teams to develop custom and integrated AI agents.

TCS reported consolidated revenues exceeding US $30 billion in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025.
