Oswal Pumps Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Oswal Solar Energy Private Limited, has successfully secured a major order in the renewable energy sector. This contract is for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 7.46 MWp Grid Connected Rooftop Solar (RTS) Plants.
The total consideration for the order is approximately Rs. 39.40 Crore, which includes Goods and Services Tax (GST). This development positions Oswal Pumps to actively participate in the Government of India’s flagship initiative, the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
Key Contract Details
The contract was awarded by M/s Swashakthi Energy, who were the successful bidders for the larger projects allocated under the scheme by the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd. (NREDCAP).
The scope of work is comprehensive, covering:
- Design, Engineering, Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of the 7.46 MWp capacity.
- A crucial Five Years of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contract.
These solar systems are slated for installation across 3,729 SC & ST Consumers in the Pulivendula and Puttaparthy divisions under APSPDCL in Andhra Pradesh.
Timeline and Market Entry
The associated time period for the contract execution includes the installation phase followed by a period of up to five years dedicated to maintenance and operation from the commissioning date of the rooftop systems.
