IRCTC Board Announces New Government Nominee Director

IRCTC has formally communicated the induction of a new member to its Board of Directors. Pursuant to the Railway Board’s Order dated February 25, 2026, Shri Navin Kumar Parsuramka (DIN: 11576415) has been appointed as an Additional Director, designated as a Part-time Government Director.

This appointment is effective from February 27, 2026. The tenure of his directorship will continue until he ceases to be the Principal Executive Director (Coaching) at the Railway Board, or until further orders, whichever is sooner.

Shri Parsuramka is an esteemed officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), 1992 batch, currently serving as Principal Executive Director (Coaching) at the Ministry of Railways. His career spans over 30 years in Indian Railways, holding key leadership roles such as Executive Director (Rates) and Divisional Railway Manager (Ajmer).

  • As Principal Executive Director (Coaching), he oversaw the national operation plan for Mahakumbh 2025, managing over 17,000 passenger trains and facilitating more than 4.5 crore passengers.
  • As Executive Director (Rates), he was instrumental in implementing policy reforms to simplify and rationalize freight rate structures, boosting efficiency and transparency.
  • During his tenure as DRM Ajmer, he led significant infrastructure upgrades, including the completion of major works like doubling, gauge conversion, and 150 km of track renewal.

IRCTC confirms that Shri Navin Kumar Parsuramka has provided an affirmation stating that he has not been debarred from holding the office of director by any regulatory authority.

Furthermore, it is confirmed that Mr. Parsuramka is not related to any existing Director or Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of IRCTC. He also does not hold any equity shares in the Company.
