Update on Previous Tax Disclosures
Dabur India Limited is submitting an update concerning prior disclosures made on February 4, 2025, and October 03, 2025, related to orders passed by the Joint Commissioner, State Tax, Circle-C, Alwar, Rajasthan. These orders pertained to a product classification issue across the financial years 2017-18, 2018-19, and 2019-20.
Original Demand Details
The total cumulative demand issued by the State Tax authorities amounted to Rs. 3,12,74,277/-, broken down as follows:
- Tax Demand: Rs. 97,28,014/-
- Interest: Rs. 1,18,18,249/-
- Penalty: Rs. 97,28,014/-
Favorable Appellate Ruling
Following the original assessment, the Company filed appeals before the 1st Appellate Authority, State Tax, Alwar, Rajasthan, for each of the relevant financial years. Upon consideration of the facts and submissions, the Ld. Appellate Authority has set aside the aforementioned demand, including both interest and penalty, in its entirety.
Consequently, as previously stated in earlier communications, there is no adverse impact on the operations or other activities of the Company resulting from this matter.
