This facility is located in the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, specifically at the villages of Sanwara and Mehar Nagar in the Tehsil-Pokhran area.
Capacity and Operational Details
The initial commissioning covers a capacity of 19 MW/38 MWh. This represents the first portion of the total planned capacity for the site, which stands at 285 MW/600 MWh. The official Commercial Operation Date (COD) for this Phase-I is scheduled for February 27, 2026.
Deployment Strategy
Currently, ASHL intends to deploy this newly commissioned capacity as merchant capacity. Crucially, the company has confirmed it retains the operational flexibility to transition this capacity to a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at a future date, ensuring strategic market positioning.
