The partnership aims to deliver essential oral health education to 57 lakh school children across the state’s public and private schools. Colgate Partners with Haryana Government
On February 23, 2026, Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited announced a significant collaboration with the Government of Haryana to expand its flagship initiative, Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® (BSBF). This new partnership is set to provide vital oral health education to 57 lakh school children across the entire state.
Shri Nayab Singh Saini Ji, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, stated that the collaboration aims to strengthen awareness and embed preventive oral hygiene practices among students to support their overall development.
Ms. Prabha Narasimhan, MD & CEO, Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited, emphasized that this represents a systemic shift from awareness to large-scale action, making preventive care a non-negotiable part of a child’s development by embedding BSBF into the state’s educational framework.
Comprehensive Program Features
The statewide rollout embeds structured oral health education directly within Haryana’s school system. The comprehensive preventive health initiative will feature:
- Structured In-Person Learning: Sessions conducted by trained facilitators across schools.
- Comprehensive Curriculum: Focus on proper brushing techniques (twice daily), timely toothbrush replacement, tobacco prevention, and supportive nutrition practices.
- Oral Health Boards: Permanent visual anchors installed in every school to reinforce healthy habits daily.
- Teacher Training Modules: School teachers will receive training on teeth anatomy and essential oral health practices to integrate awareness into everyday learning.
- Take-Home Dental Kits and Brushing Calendars: Tools provided to bridge the gap between school and home, encouraging family ritualization of oral hygiene.
