NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary, has declared commercial operation for 158.4 MW of a 250 MW Solar PV Project in Andhra Pradesh, effective February 14, 2026. This declaration by a group company boosts the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group to 88,132 MW and the commercial capacity to 87,052 MW. The subsidiary, NGEL, also noted its own group capacity increase to 9,151.08 MW installed capacity.

NTPC Limited announced a significant milestone achieved by its subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL). A component capacity of 158.4 MW, derived from a 250 MW Solar PV Project situated in Andhra Pradesh, has successfully commenced commercial operations. This formal declaration was certified and is effective from February 14, 2026.
Impact on Total Group Capacity
This new operational capacity directly impacts the overall installed base of the NTPC Group. Following this commissioning, the total installed capacity for the entire NTPC group now stands at 88,132 MW. Correspondingly, the total commercial capacity for the group has reached 87,052 MW, as of the disclosure date of February 20, 2026.
NTPC Green Energy Limited Group Update
Furthermore, the announcement detailed the capacity progression within the renewable energy arm. The current commercial capacity of the NGEL Group was 8992.68 MW. With the addition of this newly commissioned solar capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased to 9151.08 MW.
