SAIL Redesignation of Director (Technical, Projects and Raw Materials) to Director (Mining)

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced a key management change effective February 18, 2026. Following a directive from the Government of India, Ministry of Steel dated February 16, 2026, the post of Director (Technical, Projects and Raw Materials) has been officially redesignated as Director (Mining). Consequently, Shri Manish Raj Gupta has been redesignated to this new role, succeeding his previous appointment made on January 14, 2025.

The announcement serves as a follow-up to the earlier intimation dated January 14, 2025, regarding the appointment of Shri Manish Raj Gupta as Director (Technical, Projects and Raw Materials).

  • The Government of India, Ministry of Steel, vide letter dated February 16, 2026, has officially redesignated the post from Director (Technical, Projects and Raw Materials) to Director (Mining).
  • Accordingly, Shri Manish Raj Gupta has been redesignated to the new role of Director (Mining), SAIL, effective from February 18, 2026.
