Vishal Mega Mart Limited hereby informs stakeholders regarding an order received by its subsidiary, Airplaza Retail Holdings Private Limited. The order was issued by the Court of the Adjudicating Officer- Cum- Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rewari, on February 19, 2026.

Details of Contravention and Penalty

The issue stems from an inspection conducted by the Food Safety Officer at the Subsidiary’s Store in Rewari on September 20, 2024. During this inspection, a sample of ‘Maida’ stored on the premises was collected. Subsequently, a complaint was filed alleging violations of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

Pursuant to the allegations, a penalty amounting to Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only) has been formally imposed upon the Subsidiary.

Financial and Operational Impact

The direct financial impact reported is limited strictly to the extent of the penalty imposed. The company confirms that there is no material impact on the operations or other activities of the listed entity.

Crucially, as the product involved was manufactured by a third party, the penalty amount is expected to be recovered from the concerned Manufacturer. The Subsidiary is currently reviewing the order and evaluating the necessary next steps.
