DCB Bank Appoints New Director
At a Board meeting held today, February 17, 2026, DCB Bank Limited approved the appointment of Mr. Shaffiq Mansurali Dharamshi (DIN: 06925633) as an Additional and Non-Executive (Non-Independent) Director. This appointment will be effective from February 18, 2026, and the director will be liable to retire by rotation.
The Bank confirmed that Mr. Dharamshi is not barred from holding office by any authority and he is not related to any existing Director of the Bank. Shareholder approval for this induction will be sought within the prescribed period as per the relevant corporate laws.
Profile of Shaffiq Mansurali Dharamshi
Mr. Dharamshi holds an MSc. in Economics / Information Systems from the London School of Economics. He brings extensive banking expertise, having previously served as a Non-Executive Director of DCB Bank from January 13, 2015, till January 12, 2023.
Professionally, he possesses over twenty years of senior management experience in banking across Africa and the Middle East. Currently, he serves as the Head of Banking for Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED), overseeing financial institutions within the AKFED portfolio. His directorial experience includes serving on the boards of Diamond Trust Bank (Kenya and Uganda), Habib Bank Limited (Pakistan), Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank, and Investment and Credit Bank (Tajikistan). Prior to his current role, he held senior positions, including Senior Vice President of Wholesale Credit Risk Management at Mashreq Bank in Dubai, following a seventeen-year tenure with Citibank.
