Allcargo Logistics Focused Expansion to Scale E-commerce and Quick-Commerce Infrastructure

Allcargo Logistics Limited announced a focused expansion of its domestic supply chain network to boost its capabilities in the fast-growing e-commerce and quick-commerce segments. The company is integrating capabilities across sorting, fulfilment, and secondary transport. This strategy aims to handle the current volume of over 10 million packages monthly, supporting growth across metro and Tier 2/3 markets using technology-led solutions like WMS for better visibility and efficiency.

Strategic Network Expansion Announced

Following the approval of its restructuring plan, Allcargo Logistics Limited has initiated a focused expansion within its domestic supply chain business—covering Express distribution and Consultative logistics. This expansion is specifically designed to support the rapid scaling of the e-commerce and quick-commerce sectors in India.

The company is enhancing its integrated capabilities to cover sorting, fulfilment, consolidation, cross-docking, value-added services, and secondary transportation. Operationally, Allcargo currently manages over 10 million packages every month, experiencing a 25-30% volume increase during peak festive seasons, which also generates significant blue-collar employment.

Technology and Market Reach

Allcargo is employing a multi-city network approach covering 6-9 metro cities alongside crucial Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. To meet the speed demands of these new segments, the company is leveraging technology-led solutions, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), to improve inventory visibility and coordination across facilities.

Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, stated that the focus is on building integrated networks and disciplined mid-mile execution to ensure consistent service delivery across all geographies while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Significant Increase in Coverage

Allcargo Logistics has dramatically improved its nationwide reach:

  • The number of Transshipment Centres has expanded from 21 to 71.
  • The company recently announced the Allcargo Extended Reach (AER) network, enabling coverage across 100% of India’s available PIN codes.
  • Mapped PIN codes have increased from 21,000 to over 32,000.
  • Direct serviceable PIN codes have more than doubled, rising from 4,900 to over 10,000, served directly through Allcargo Distribution Centres.

Company Overview (Post-Restructuring)

Under the composite Scheme of Arrangement, Allcargo Logistics Limited has merged its Domestic Supply Chain business and demerged its International Supply Chain (ISC) business into Allcargo Global. The domestic segment now focuses on express distribution and consultative logistics, using a digital-first approach. The group remains committed to its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, targeting 100% carbon neutrality by 2040.
