TVS Supply Chain Solutions Signs MoU with Italy’s ALA Group to Enter $28 Billion Aerospace and Defence Market

TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Italy-based ALA Group to target India’s burgeoning $28 billion Aerospace and Defence (A&D) supply chain market. The partnership initially focuses on India’s defence offset programmes, leveraging TVS SCS’s strong UK defence experience and ALA’s global A&D expertise. The collaboration aims to provide integrated, compliant supply chain services across production and aftermarket lifecycles.

Strategic Partnership in Aerospace & Defence

TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Italy-based ALA Group, a global aerospace and defence supply-chain integrator. This collaboration is set to target opportunities within India’s rapidly expanding Aerospace and Defence market, which is currently estimated to be worth approximately $28 billion.

The MoU establishes a strategic framework for joint pursuit of A&D supply chain opportunities, placing initial emphasis on defence offset programmes in India, with potential for future expansion into other geographies.

Leveraging Complementary Strengths

The partnership focuses on delivering integrated supply chain services across the entire lifecycle, including production support and aftermarket services. TVS SCS will contribute its established defence and utilities supply chain experience gained through its UK operations, alongside its strong domestic presence, including procurement, regulatory expertise, and logistics infrastructure in India.

ALA Group, which reported revenues of $345 million in 2024, will contribute its global aerospace domain expertise, technology platforms, and strong relationships across Europe, the US, and the UK in the production supply chain segment.

Currently, TVS SCS’s aerospace, defence, and utilities operations generate approximately $140 million in annual revenues, primarily anchored in UK programmes.

Dinesh, Executive Chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, stated that the collaboration aligns with the company’s strategy of building globally relevant capabilities in complex and regulated sectors. He highlighted that the partnership allows them to build upon established aftermarket strengths to support production programmes in aerospace.

Ravi Viswanathan, Managing Director of TVS SCS, noted that the MoU brings together TVS’s proven defence supply chain experience in the UK with ALA’s global aerospace expertise to build a credible and compliant platform for defence offset programmes in India.

Vittorio Genna, CEO and Co-Founder of ALA Group, emphasized that the collaboration creates a solid platform for sustainable growth across multiple regions supporting both civil and defence aerospace programmes.

TVS SCS’s defence and utility sector operations in the UK account for over 30% of the company’s UK business. TVS SCS currently supports leading defence prime contractors by managing approximately 250,000 NATO Stock Numbers (NSNs) and fulfilling around 2.5 million defence demands annually, supported by a global supplier base exceeding 5,000 vendors.

ALA Group brings over 35 years of experience, supporting defence programmes across Europe, North America, and international markets. ALA operates globally, managing over 200,000 SKUs and working with a qualified supplier base of more than 1,500 vendors worldwide, adhering to standards including EN 9120, EN 9100, and ISO 9001.
