Details of the New Appointment
The Board has confirmed the appointment of Shri Deepak Gupta to the dual role of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of GAIL. Prior to this elevation, Shri Gupta served as the Director (Projects) for the company.
Effective Date and Tenure
- The assumption of charge for the new CMD is effective on or after March 1, 2026.
- The tenure will continue until his date of superannuation, which is fixed for February 28, 2029, or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
