This subsidiary is established to focus on generating, transmitting, and distributing electric power derived from nuclear and/or atomic energy. AAEL has an authorized capital of Rs. 5,00,000/-, of which APL holds 100% shareholding, classified as a related party transaction.

Adani Power Limited (APL) has officially informed the stock exchanges regarding the creation of a new subsidiary. The entity, named Adani Atomic Energy Limited (“AAEL”), was incorporated on February 11, 2026, following the receipt of its Certificate of Incorporation on February 11, 2026.

Strategic Business Focus

The primary objective of this newly formed entity is strategic: “To generate, transmit, and distribute electric power derived from nuclear and/or atomic energy.” This move signals APL’s formal entry and commitment to the nuclear energy sector, broadening its power generation portfolio beyond conventional sources.

Shareholding and Capital Structure

AAEL has been set up as a Wholly Owned Subsidiary (WOS), meaning APL holds complete control. The subsidiary’s capital structure details are as follows:

  • Authorized Capital: Rs. 5,00,000/-.
  • Share Structure: Divided into 50,000 equity shares.
  • Face Value per Share: Rs. 10/- each.
  • APL’s Shareholding: 100% of the shareholding is held by the Company.

The nature of consideration for the initial subscription was Cash, indicating the immediate investment of funds into the new operation.
